Our Story

Building bridges between traditional law and the digital frontier

Our Journey

2018
Founded in Toronto

Started with a simple mission - help businesses navigate the messy intersection of corporate law and emerging tech. Back then, most firms were still treating digital assets like an afterthought.

2020
International Expansion

Opened advisory networks across three continents. When COVID hit, we were already set up for remote collaboration - turned out that was pretty valuable.

2022
Digital Rights Pioneer

Launched dedicated practice for Web3 and AI governance. Handled some groundbreaking cases involving smart contracts and algorithmic liability.

2025
Today

We're now a team of 40+ lawyers and tech specialists serving clients worldwide. Still headquartered in Toronto, still obsessed with staying ahead of the curve.

Who We Actually Are

Look, we're not gonna pretend we're some centuries-old establishment with mahogany desks and Latin mottos. We started because the legal industry wasn't keeping up with how fast business was changing.

When we opened our doors in 2018, blockchain was still mostly associated with crypto bros, GDPR was fresh out of the oven, and most corporate lawyers couldn't tell you the difference between an API and an IPO. We saw companies struggling to find counsel who actually understood both the legal frameworks AND the technology.

So we built something different. Our team includes former software engineers, data privacy analysts, and yeah - traditional corporate lawyers too. We speak fluent legalese when we need to, but we can also hop on a call with your dev team and actually understand what they're building.

These days, we work with everyone from Toronto startups to multinational corps doing cross-border M&A deals. We've advised on tokenized asset sales, drafted licensing agreements for AI models, and helped companies thread the needle on privacy regulations across multiple jurisdictions.

What sets us apart? We don't just react to legal problems - we help you spot them before they become problems. And we're not afraid to tell you when you're overthinking something or when you actually need to slow down and get it right.

"The law isn't changing because legislators decided it should - it's changing because technology won't wait for permission. Our job is making sure you're protected while you innovate."

What We Stand For

Forward-Thinking

We don't just keep up with changes in law and tech - we try to stay a few steps ahead. That way, you're not scrambling when new regulations drop.

Plain Speaking

Legal jargon has its place, but most of the time you just need straight answers. We'll explain things in a way that actually makes sense.

Real Protection

We're not here to just tick boxes. Our goal is making sure you're actually protected - from liability, regulatory issues, and those "oh crap" moments.
